Emma Bear, 2 days ago we celebrated daddy`s 41^st birthday… daddy was so happy with the gift you gave him, you gave him a card with a $25 gift card from Bulk Barn his favorite candy store.

happy 17 weeks emma

First, just a little update on you Emma, you had your 4 month check-up today a little late but Dr. Ling was on vacation last week.  Emma bear your 17 weeks and these are your stats; You are 16LBS 3ounces, so from your 3 month checkup you gained a whole 2LBS, my little porker

 Emma this is what you’ve been up to.  You’ve have grown so much over the couple of weeks!  Joshua and Jace just adore you, you have a sweet personality and we just love to make you laugh. 

Here is what you are doing now;

• drooling like crazy
• loves to babble and talk
• You smile
• makes the "b" sound sometimes
• makes the "m" sound sometimes (I am trying to get you to say momma)
• likes to suck on your fingers...especially your thumb:)
• you sit up by yourself for a short time
• you will reach for and grasp for toys when you want too
• loves your exersaucer
• still taking cat naps

My sweet Emma bear, well yesterday you were much better, we are on the road to recovery.  YEAH for Emma, mommy and daddy are happy to say that you are feeling much better.  Your feeding every 3 hours, you have lots of dirty wet diapers.  We hope that it continues and that you never catch this bug again.

Fancy Face during the day you are yourself, moving, laughing, giggling, talking and of course feeding very well but when it comes to the night well that’s a different story.  Last night Emma was a little bit better for you; mommy put the saline solution in your nose while daddy held you in his arms to tilt your head back.  That was successful, you sneezed and all that gooing stuff came out.  So again Emma bear we will see what tonight bring us, mommy and daddy hope you feel better soon..

my sick emma

Emma today you are 17 weeks, and last night was a rough one you’ve gone & got yourself some nasty virus, I am not sure what it is right now but  baby you’re SICK, your coughing a little bit, spitting up your feeding and you have a stuffy nose.  Last night daddy slept on the couch because mommy had you on the bed under a raised pillow to making breathing easier for you. 

Emma this really does pull on every chamber of our hearts, & we just want to kiss the sickness out of you. We wanted to tell you, we`d do anything for you, but a part of us thinks you might already know that?

I wonder if it'll be like this forever. I love to watch you sleep. Even if I'm dead tired and should be taking a nap or sleep myself, I can't help to just stare at you.  You has very different ways of sleeping which always bring a smile to face.

moving to our new house!

Emma, the time has finally come for us to move into our new house! It felt like a long process as daddy purchased the house in May 2010, but the builders didn’t start to build till late 2011, so we are so happy to finally be moving in.  You've been sleeping in mommy and daddy`s bedroom, so it’s about time you have your own room.  Mommy and Daddy are so happy to start decorating your room.  Stay tuned for pictures once everything is done.

You’re probably wondering why I am throwing this on my blog, but when you’re old enough to understand you will see why.  I adore this women and her music, and as I was growing up I listened to her music and one day I will play it for you.  Emma you will fall in love with her voice and her music.
